"We don’t have to try to recreate the past. We were there for it”

Trends: when something is in, it's in. Walk through a college campus if you don't believe me. Four years ago, we saw string earbuds. Two years ago, we saw wireless earbuds. Today, we see the large, clunky, over ear headphones, which very well could be from 2000. So, who do we pick? Beats - not a trend, but a constant.

The retro look is back, but Beats was there through it all.

Video advertisement for social media: People walking through transitioning from wearing all the models of Beats headphones, oldest to newest. With each headphone, have actors wear clothing from the year they represent to match the year it came out. This will show the evolution of the headphone styles and prove that Beats has stayed consistent with each - the noise-canceling headphones that never age.

Ask: Make people pick Beats noise-cancelling headphones over Apple noise-cancelling headphones.

Truth #1: Young people are choosing Apple noise-canceling headphones over Beats due to them trending on social media.

Truth #2: Beats is cheaper but comparable looks-wise.

Insight: “Retro” is trending, and the Beats design changes less frequently and still carries a retro look. Trends on social media are leading Apple headphones to be the dominant and preferred noise cancelling headphone of choice.
